Quando estava na Holanda comprei duas plantas de plastico, era baratinho e bem parecido com planta real (já que não consigo deixar plantas vivas dentro de minha casa, ou dou água de mais ou de menos rsrsrs). Só precisava um potinho bonitinho para colocar, resolvi fazer para combinar com o resto da decoração. Resolvi fotografar o passo a passo para que vocês podem fazer também, é bem simples e com material que provávelmente já tem em casa! Também serve como porta-trecos
When I was in Holland I bought 2 fake plants, they were cheap and very realistic (I can’t keep any plant alive in my house, I give either too little or too much water heheh). All I needed was some nice flowerpots to put them in, I decided to make them to fit with the rest of the decoration of my house. I decided to photograph the step by step instructions so you can make it as well, it’s very simple and can be made with materials you probably have in your house already! You can also use it as a penholder.
Material:
- papelão grosso (usei aquele papelão que fica atrás de blocos de escrever) dá para usar caixa de cereal também, mas você vai precisar colar 2 folhas para ficar bastante grosso) – thick cardstock (I used the carton that comes as the back of notebooks, you can use ceralboxes as well, but you will want to glue 2 sheets together so it will be thick enough)
- régua – ruler
- lápis – pencil
- estilete – exacto knife
- cola branca – white glue/ mod podge
- tecido e/ou papel bonito – fabric and/or nice paper
- fita crepe – paper tape
Começa para desenhar um quadrado de 13x13 cm no seu papelão
Start with drawing a 13x13 cm square on your cardboard
Depois embaixa marca 2 cm de cada lado para dentro: veja foto
And than mark 2 cm from each side : see picture
Recorta com estilete as figuras e repita até que tem 4 formas
Cut with your knife and repeat until you have 4 figures
Cola o papelão no tecido (ou papel se preferir). Eu usei um tecido que minha amiga trouxe para mim de Afrika, adoro as cores e a estampa!
Glue the carton on your fabric (or paper if you prefer) I used an African fabric my friend brought me, I love the colors and the design!
Corta o tecido ao redor com mais ou menos 1 cm de borda, e corta o excesso nos cantos, mas não totalmente encostando no papelão, deixa 1 mm mais ou menos.
Cut the fabric more or less with one cm border, cut the excess on the corners, but not too close to the carton, leave about 1 mm more or less.
Cola as bordas do tecido para dentro, puxando bem.
Glue the borders to the inside, stretching the fabric well.
Vai ficar assim, o verso e a frente

Repita com as outras 3
Repeat with the other 3
Agora o parte mais dificil, mas não tão dificil quanto pode pensar, cole as peças juntas, coloca cola do lado de dentro da borda, encosta outra peça e usa o fita crepe para deixar bem juntinho, esticando bem a fita.
Now the most difficult part, but not as difficult as you may think, glue the parts together. Put glue on the inside of one border, put the other part together and use the paper tape to keep them tight together, you should try to stretch the tape well.
Agora corta 2 quadrados de 9,5 cm x 9,5 cm e cola um em cima do outro. Vai ser o fundo, por isto é bom colar dois junto para ser bastante firme. Depois coloca muita cola em todos os laterais
Now cut 2 squares of 9,5x9,5 cm and glue them on top of each other. This will be the bottom so that’s why we are gluing 2 together so it will be firm enough. Than put lots of glue glue on all the sides of the square.
Agora cola o quadadro dentro do pote, colocando de cima para baixa, até enconstar nos 4 laterais, pressiona com cuidado para baixa. (Você pode ver que usei fita por dentro para ajudar segurar, não é necessário, no segundo que fica não usei e ficou até melhor)
Now glue the square inside your pot, putting it in position from the top to the bottom until it is in contact with all 4 laterals, pressing it down carefully. (You can see I used tap on the inside to help put things together, but this is not necessary, I didn’t do this with the second one and it even worked better)

Para dar um pouco mais de firmeza eu cortei 4 tiras de mais ou menos 9x1 cm e colei no laterais, embaixo do fundo. Não cortei com muita precisão, porque fica embaixo mesmo, ninguém vai ver…..
To give it some extra support I cut 4 strips of about 9x1 cm and glues them to the laterals, under the bottom, I didn’t cut them very precise, because they will be on the bottom, no one will see anyway…
Para dar um acabamento mais bonito cortei pedaços de papelão colorido para colar dentro. Da mesma forma que fizemos no primeiro passo, só que agora faz um retangulo de 12,7 cm x 10,8 mm, em um dos lados de 12,7 cm você marca 1,5 cm para dentro.
To finish the inside off I cut pieces of colored cardstock to glue inside. The same way we did in the first steps, only now we make a rectangle of 12,7 x 10,8 cm, on one of the side of 12,7 cm you mark 1,5 cm to the inside.
Corta o papelão, repita e cola dentro de seu pote. Você pode até cortar o parte de cima com uma tesourar decorativa. Se quiser fazer mais bonito ainda pode cobrir os pedaços com tecido da mesma forma que nos primeiros passos. Se cobrir com tecido tem que tirar 1 ou 2 mm das medidas.
Cut the cardstock and glue inside. You can also cut the top side with decorative scissors. If you want to make it really fancy you can also cover the cardstock with fabric the same way we did in the first few steps. If you are going to cover with fabric you will have to take 1 or 2 mm off the measures of the cardstock.
Orgulhosa de meu cantinho Africano! Os potes combinando com a decoração de parede que já tinha feito, cobrindo telas com o mesmo tecido.
So proud of my African corner! The flowerpots combine with the wall decoration I had already made before, covering 2 canvases with the same fabric.
